Established in 2021 under the auspices of the Office of the Executive Vice President, the Nassau Fellows program has four principal goals:

  • meaningful exposure to career opportunities in higher education
  • exploration of topics about current and future issues in the field
  • learning about strategic planning and governance
  • building networks of professional relationships across the Fellows cohort and the Princeton community

In an effort to increase the diversity of people in senior positions at Princeton and in higher education generally, the Nassau Fellows program encourages early career University employees, particularly those with a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, to pursue careers in higher education administration.

Nassau Fellows are in the first phase of their professional careers, typically one to five years of professional work experience, yet have demonstrated great promise to provide leadership within higher education administration. The Nassau Fellows network is meant to provide opportunities for professional growth throughout one’s career and seeks to build connections among participants as they advance professionally, either at Princeton or other higher education institutions.
